The Shepard-class Kerala was one of the starships that arrived to assist the U.S.S Shenzhou at the fateful Battle of the Binary Stars. Unlike several of her fellowships, she managed to avoid being destroyed by Klingon torpedoes.

The ship was named after the state in south India where the country’s Institute of Space Science and Technology was based, while the Shepard-class was named in honor of the 20th-century astronaut Alan Shepard. The highly detailed U.S.S. Kerala (Shepard-class) model is 8.5 inches long and based directly on the original VFX models created for the show.

Klingon Bird-of-Prey

The Klingon Bird-of-Prey was one of the best-known vessels used by the Klingon Empire across the 22nd and 23rd centuries. The mid-23rd-century iteration was a relatively small warship (though larger classes may have existed) that had a similar avian design to other Klingon Birds-of-Prey. It also played a significant role in the Battle of Binary Stars of 2256, the first battle of the Federation-Klingon War.

This incredible die-cast U.S.S Buran starship was commanded by Captain Lorca, who destroyed the vessel to stop his crew being taken prisoner, and was notable for its unique quad-nacelle design.  Two of these nacelles jutted up above its secondary hull and two beneath it in a distinctive ‘X’ formation.

In the accompanying magazine, we detail the design process of the U.S.S Buran with original concept sketches, as well as profiling the ship's adventures, and it's history.

Klingon Cleave Ship

At the start of the Federation-Klingon War in 2256, the only Klingon ships to have cloaking technology were those commanded by T’Kuvma. One such vessel was the Klingon cleave ship – a massive instrument of death with a vast cutting blade running along its length. While cloaked, the ship was able to approach the Federation starship U.S.S. Europa undetected, before plowing into its hull with devastating results. With no other means to retaliate, the Europa overloaded its own antimatter containment field, destroying itself and the cleave ship along with it.

the ship model

The U.S.S. Shenzhou was one of Starfleet's Walker-class starships in the 23rd century. By the middle of the century, it was seen as an older model, fitted with outdated technology such as a lateral vector transporter system. The Shenzhou was held in high regard by Starfleet and, under the command of the highly decorated Captain Philippa Georgiou, it continued to be dispatched on missions of great importance.
