Marvel Studios has released the debut trailer for their upcoming Disney+ series, Ms. Marvel.

The new show, centering on the first-ever Muslim hero to enter the MCU, is about Kamala Khan (played by Iman Vellani), a young girl raised in New Jersey, USA, who learns that she has polymorphous powers.

Take a look at the intriguing first footage of the show below:

About Kamala, a Pakistani-American teen who is Captain Marvel's (Brie Larson) biggest fan, the show is based upon the comic book but also has some notable changes for the television adaptation. For example, it appears the origins of her superpowers differ from that of the comics, which saw her gain her abilities via Terrigen mist, now seemingly forged from a mysterious bracer.

The above trailer offers a look at what we can expect from the teen series, accompanied by The Weeknd's Blinding Lights, we see how Kamala's life balances - and swiftly shifts - from mundane high school monotony to doing her homework around being a full-on superhero.

The coming months are a bust period for Marvel releases, with Moon Knight on its way at the end of the month on March 30, with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness arriving in theaters on 6 May, with this show coming a month afterwards and just head of Thor: Love and Thunder which releases on July 8.

Ms. Marvel begins streaming on Disney+ on June 8, 2022.
