HBO Max have shared the first teaser from new Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon, below

 

The series set '200 years before the fall of the throne', features the voiceover of Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, the younger brother of King Viserys and heir to the throne. Daemon is a peerless warrior and a dragonrider who possesses the true blood of the dragon.

The series also stars Paddy Considine as King Viserys Targaryen, chosen by the lords of Westeros to succeed the Old King, Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, the daughter of Otto, Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, the king’s first-born child, of pure Valyrian blood and a dragonrider, Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon, the famed nautical adventurer 'The Sea Snake', plus Eve Best as Princess Rhaenys Velaryon, Sonoya Mizuno as Mysaria and Fabien Frankel as Ser Criston Cole.

House of the Dragon will tell the tale of the House of Targaryen 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones. Based on the stories in George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood novels, the series has been picked up for 10 episodes. The HBO spinoff is created by George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal, with Condal and Miguel Sapochnik as co-showrunners. Sapochnik is also set to direct multiple episodes, including the pilot.

House of the Dragon is expected to premiere on HBO and HBO Max in 2022.
